
Overview
SYSCO provides a full spectrum of foodservice supplies and equipment to over 390,000 customers throughout the United States and Canada. Customers can receive everything they need for their operations, from sparkling front-of-the-house service ware to heavy-duty, back-of-the-house janitorial supplies and everything in between.
Requirement
SYSCO needed to provide an automated invoice delivery procedure for client item verification and client invoicing.
Invoices must be received before food orders are delivered and processed. System must integrate with
existing AS400 and Print Management application.
Solution
Using ASE's DataPrep IServer, local Sysco Food centers leverage their existing paper based invoice
system to electronically deliver invoices through email. Integrated with the existing PC based print
spooler system, DataPrep IServer ingests the print feed and transforms the data to Adobe PDF format. Then
using file names and client masks the PDF documents are distributed to customers using SYSCO's SMTP mail server. .
